Mississippi Families for Kids is a statewide, private 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization instituted in 1994 and incorporated in 1998. The mission of Mississippi Families for Kids is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and families through the development of educational services and specialized trainings. The organization’s primary function is to implement child-focused, solution-based, and community service programs that are dedicated to improving the conditions of families and children. The agency offers a broad array of community based child welfare services including, but not limited to, adoption, training, counseling, behavior therapy, referral sources, kinship care support and children's support groups.
